Who do I contact when something goes wrong.

Sep 29, 2005 5:06 PM by Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
It has come to our attention here at WinCustomize.com that some free downloadable suites featured on our site may not always download properly for one reason or another. So what do you do? The answer depends on the content and where it is coming from. Please read our disclaimer below to learn more about our policy in this regard.

Disclaimer:
WinCustomize.com may provide links to Internet sites that are maintained by third parties. WinCustomize.com takes no responsibility for the information, products or services available on these sites, nor does it warrant that the functions contained in the materials will be uninterrupted or error-free.

So how do you know if you are on a 3rd-party site? Simple. Just look at the domain of the site. That's the web address, for those who are not sure what that means. If you notice that the domain isn't from Stardock.com or WinCustomize.com, then you can be pretty sure this is a 3rd-party site.

In those instances, please contact the webmaster of that site. Usually, you can find a link to contact them somewhere directly from the home page of that site. If however, the trouble you are experiencing is found on our site, please contact us, instead. You may reach us at: support@stardock.com

If you have any questions, you can also contact me directly (gmarsack@stardock.com) and I'd be happy to clarify things!

Hey Guys, Just wanted to post very quickly my work for the week.

Not much to report for WinCustomize. If you've noticed, my Web Poll is up on the site. I had to fix a bug in connection to it, but that was a simply update. Other then that, most of my attention has been on TotalGaming.net. We're working to improve some of the features and services over there, which are going well, and I'm excited about some of the things I've been assigned too. When it's done, I'll give everyone a link to the new stuff. It's pretty cool stuff, but I wont say anything as of yet.

Well, I've got to get going. Sorry I couldn't report anything else. Talk to you guys later!

Things I did in the past couple weeks toward WinCustomize.com

Jun 17, 2005 7:13 PM by Discussion: Developer Journals

Hello everyone,

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything on WinCustomize, work report related. Sorry about that. I've been so busy working on other projects, that anything WC related didn't really add up to much worth mentioning. So here are some things I've recently done to update WinCustomize over the course of the last week. Like I said, anything isn’t worth mentioning.

Note: Some things are still in the testing phase and may not be available to the general public and may be things to come.

- Updated visuals and functionality for a future Moderator assignment application for WinCustomize forums created by JR. As JR likes to put it, "I  get it working, you make it pretty." -- Okay, so maybe not exactly that, but something like that. So that's what I did.

-- Changed the visuals on the info page to make those who have WC personal pages stand out more. I made a big'ol button that'll have people taking notice. ;)

-- Added a fix for WC so it'll now support multiple Style Sheets depending on your browser. Believe it or not, we're going to try to actually support other browsers better. This I'm sure is going to make a lot of people happy. It's currently functioning right now, however I'm certain there are areas of the site that have not been fixed. At least now we can begin to address these issues. :CONGRAT:

Well, that's about it. As I said, most of my time has been spent on other projects, namely, Stardock Central, TotalGaming.net, Forums related stuff, and even some minor GalCiv2.com stuff. Oh, and one more thing... Stardock has relocated!!! The building is very very nice.. It's soooo big and bright in side. The hallways are quite spacious and it's nice to see sunlight through it's big windows. It's to bad it take me close to an hour and a half to get here and close to two or more hours to get home. uggg... X-(  X-( :SNIFF!: :SNIFF!:

Anyway, I'll try to keep everyone posted on any new updates on WC. Take care everyone!

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and says, Hello?"

Everyone else in the room stops to listen:

WOMAN: "Hi Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"

MAN: "Yes"

WOMAN: "I am at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $1,000. Is it OK if I buy it?"

MAN: "Sure. Go ahead if you like it that much."

WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2005 models. I saw one I really liked."

MAN: "How much?"

WOMAN: "$90,000"

MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."

WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing .... The house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $950,000"

MAN: "Well, then go ahead and make them an offer of $900,000. They'll probably take it. If not, we can go an extra 50 thousand.

WOMAN: Ooh! Wonderful! I love you so much!!"

MAN: "I love you, too."

The man closes up. The other guys in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment.

He smiles and asks, "Anyone know who this phone belongs to?""
